Mel T is a designer, artist, technician and Hot Cheetos enthusiast living in the New York City area. She takes pride in both her Latin heritage and being the first in her family to pursue a higher education. She has an MFA from the University of California with an emphasis in Drama – Scenic Design/Technology. Her Undergrad being from Florida Atlantic University where she graduated with a BA in Theatre – Design/Technology

Over the years as a Scenic practitioner, she has honed in on techniques and processes that she learned as a Graduate, Undergraduate and Scenic Art Apprentice. Mel has instinctively adjusted to shifting challenges that may arise by using her abilities in adaptability, strategy, and command. She has a sharp eye for the overall picture of the aesthetics of a project. She gives an eclectic mix of experience and tenacity, with a willingness to learn and adapt. Mel has worked in a variety of Theatres, Themed entertainment and Art Galleries including: South Coast Reparatory, XMPL- UCI, The Beall, Riverside Theatre, The Walnut Street Theatre, Orlando Shakespeare Theatre, and Universal Studios Orlando.
